Breakfast Sandwiches

 


The Early Bird in all her glory

 

For some time now, people have been requesting that we offer a breakfast sandwich, and now we are pleased that finally we are able to offer one.  It took a few weeks of experimentation to get this just right, but after a number of prototypes and a bunch of experimenting from our sandwich chief Alan Paschel, I think we’ve got it!  The sandwich features local eggs from our friends (and co-workers) at Persons Brother’s Farm in Middlesex.  Quality eggs are key to the success of this sandwich and these ones are as good as it gets.  Add to that a slice of Cabot cheddar, some lemon chive butter (with VBC butter, of course), stick it on our rustic roll, pop it on the panini press and you’ve got yourself breakfast.  Add a slice of North Country Smokehouse ham, and you’ve just made a good thing even better!  We’ve just had a naming contest for these two offerings and received many great ideas.  We have decided that the egg and cheese will be THE EARLY BIRD and the egg, cheese and ham will be HAM ON IT. Congratulations to Nicholas Leader who conceived of The Early Bird less than an hour before Liz Innes-Brown and our own Alan “Sandwich” Paschell had the same thought.  And it was our own Brian Maher (sales manager) who came up with Ham on It… we just couldn’t resist…

Every day you can find three grilled
sandwiches for lunch:

 The Red Rooster: Cabot cheddar, red onion and mustard on Potato bread or Cyrus Pringle bread.

The Miss Piggy: Add ham to the Red Rooster.

Plain ol’ Grilled Cheese: Just Cabot cheddar on Cyrus Pringle bread.

*North Country Smokehouse maple cured ham with honey butter, organic green leaf lettuce on potato bread.

MONDAY

TUESDAY

*Applegate Genoa style salami, grainy mustard, our own Olive Oil Mayonnaise, a thin slice of red onion, organic green leaf lettuce on baguette.

*Applewood smoked turkey breast, our own mayonnaise, and hot pepper jelly on Crossett Hill bread.

*Boggy Meadow Swiss cheese, our own mayonnaise, and muffaletta on Croseett Hill bread.

WEDNESDAY

*Applewood smoked turkey, our own olive oil mayonnaise, and grainy Dijon mustard on Cyrus Pringle Bread.

*Cob smoked ham, our own olive oil, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard on Mad River Grain.

*Cabot tomato basil cheddar, our own olive oil mayonnaise, and basil pesto on 100% Whole Wheat bread.

THURSDAY

*Montreal smoked beef, grainy mustard, and organic green leaf lettuce on Mad River Grain  bread.

*American pole caught Tuna, our own olive oil mayonnaise, and organic green leaf lettuce on Crossett Hill bread.

*Our own garlic hummus, sweet Peppadew peppers, and organic green leaf lettuce on Mad River Grain bread.

FRIDAY

SATURDAY
