Red Hen Cafe Menu

We make everything in-house from scratch with the finest ingredients. Many of our items feature local and/or organic ingredients.

Breakfast Sandwiches Coffee & Teas Lunch Sandwiches Salads Pastries Soups

Everything on our menu is great, but we always like to feature a couple of items that we are particularly excited about.

Top of the Mornin' to Ya!

Enjoy a little breakfast in the morning (or afternoon).

Our breakfast pastries may do the trick for you, but for a more traditional breakfast, try these options.

Café Classics

Our coffees and espresso drinks start with the carefully selected and roasted beans from the team at Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea in Waterbury. We take pride in honoring their work by handling our coffee carefully. We source teas from both Vermont Artisan and Stoneleaf Tea in Middlebury.

Other Hot Drinks

In addition to traditional coffee and tea, we serve chai, Champlain Orchards cider and seasonally available flavored espresso drinks using house made vanilla milk, Fat Toad Farm caramel, Side Hill Farm maple pumpkin butter and local egg nog.

House-made Soups of the Day

Our soup masters keep the cafe supplied with a variety of soups featuring lots of local ingredients. Each day, we offer a vegetarian and a meat option.

We're Baking Again!

Reopening Thursday.

After having to take a brief pause to keep everyone safe, we are getting back to baking. Beginning on Tuesday, January 26th., you will find our bread in stores again.

On this first day back, you won’t see baguettes, but you will find five varieties on the shelves. Over the next four days, our selection will be increasing. By the end of the week, we expect to be back to full baking capacity. Our goal is to open the cafe on Thursday. More updates to follow...

Thank you to everyone for the support over the last few days. You mean the world to us!
